Hello, It's me Pete, the founder and photographer behind Victoria Dog Photography.
I spent 20 years in Whistler capturing the incredible chaos of the outdoor adventure sports it's so well known for.
I made the move to Victoria to be closer to family, spend more time near the ocean and try out Island living. So far, I like it.
I'm no wildlife photographer - I don't have the patience.
What I love is photographing adventurous subjects, interesting moments that may only happen once and the occassional bit of chaos set against staggeringly beautiful scenery.
And honestly, the personality of dogs, is just the best, it's my favourite thing.
When I first started doing Dog Photography, I thought I could plan everything.
I quickly learned that every dog has their own ideas.

Every dog has a unique personality, and my goal is to create images that feel like a time capsule - a shared memory of where you and your dog are in life right now.
I’ve photographed hundreds of dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments.
Whether your dog is energetic and adventurous, or relaxed and easygoing, there's going to be a few shots that stand the test of time.
The goal for every shoot is to capture your dog doing their favourite thing in the world, with their favourite hoomans, capturing their personality with iconic and timeless images.

How to Book Your Shoot
Our sessions take place outdoors — which means we’re working with Mother Nature, your schedule, and your dog’s mood on any given day.
To make sure you get the best possible experience, flexibility is built into every booking.
You can choose any available time to secure your session. From there, we’ll personally coordinate the ideal day based on weather, lighting, your availability, and how your dog is feeling.
In other words — pick a time that works for now, but you’re not locked into it (unless you want to be).
Once you’ve booked, that spot is yours on the weather priority waitlist, and we’ll work together to make sure everything lines up perfectly.
